This is part 1 of a multi-video presentaiont to show how to make the Advanced OmniWing. The Advanced OmniWing is a high performance paper airplane and will require a significant contribution of time and patience to build this wing successfully. You will not be able to build this without first having visited the “OmniWing Paper Airplane” and the OmniWing Paper Airplane Modifications. I do not know how many videos it will take to present all of the steps, but at this time I have two videos finished presenting the first steps which lays out the basic planform for the Advance OmniWing. It may take 2 or three more videos. We will see…… Check out my Blog at: thisismyshadygrove.blogspot.com

The weather on Saturday at the 2009 Mt. Nebo Fly-in was light winds at the N/E launch. Not so great for launching our hang gliders but pretty good for launching some paper airplanes. I have brought 4 OmniWings and one Advanced OmniWing. With the 2 mph breeze, I was able to get dozens of launches out of the 5 planes as they would often return to me after a short soaring flight. Spectators were scrambling down and back up the hillside retrieving the wings for me. That was pretty cool. Overcast day made some of the flights a little bit of a challenge for good viewing but I think you will get the idea. Be sure to watch to the end to see my favorite flight. Video Rating: 4 / 5

Step 1 modifications for the OmniWing Paper Airplane. Making the Omnwing stronger, faster, and more efficient. This is step one of a two part process to improve the airfoil of the OmniWing and to make a wing that is very well suited for outdoor flying. If you have not built the OmniWing, you should first go to the OmniWing video and start there. Once you perfect those steps you will be ready for the modifications.
